Raptors Players Have Team Meeting
By MVP
Toronto (AP) -- Since opening up the season on a tear in about hte first 20 games the Raptors have sturggled ever since. Down to a 34-33 record team captains Tim Duncan and Brevin Knight called a players only meeting to discuss what they need to do to get back on track.
"It was a pretty calm meeting, we just talked about what we did in the beginning of the season compared to some of the mistakes were doing now," Young power forward Chris Bosh said.
Although Tim Duncan, Chris Bosh, and Rip Hamilton have been electric on the offensive end, the Raps have failed to find any other scorers. Struggling on some nights to find someone else who will score 10 points.
This has lead to questions of whether trading PG Mike James for practically nothing was the right move, although Brevin Knight has played well, his lack of offensive skill is evident.
The Raptors realize that if they can not score the ball, they will need to play better defense.
"I told some of the guys about how we played team defense in San Antonio and how we wont a lot of championships that way. I tried to stress to them this season is not over at all, and we need to use these last 15 games to get momentum going into the playoffs," Tim Duncan said.
